The way I currently feel about Watford is the same way I felt about school, a mundane and monotonous experience which offered fleeting moments of joy. Ironically, much the same as those drab and dreary days in the classroom, Watford is important in my life, not something I can shut off from and ignore. And just like school, deep down I love it.

In England, the top 20 clubs split a pot of £2.5 billion for TV and commercial revenue alone. With more money in the game than ever before, it is not an uncommon occurrence to see a club stuck in the perpetual cycle of hiring a manager, spending lots of money, results turning poor and then sacking the manager and starting over. The endless pursuit of instant success at the cost of long term stability is a result of poor leadership and one way it can be explained is through game theory.
